My Research Paper

I think that my research paper was good but i think that it could of been a lot stronger then what it was. I think the area that i was strong in is that the beginning of my research paper because it explains on how her life was and how nothing went right for her. An area that I can grow in is that i can your more citations and I can explain what I mean when I am telling about her life and how she lived. I can also make sure that I don't put a citation in the thesis

I am doing Alice Walker for my research paper. I think this has been most helpful because she relates to me a lot and she tells her story a lot by what has happened in her life. Shows the stuff you need in life to live and the stuff that doesn't really matter. This research is difficult for me because its hard to put her writing into words at times. It helps that i know that this has happened in her story and its not completely made up.life

Mirrors

Celie is one of the characters in the book. She comes off as a lesbian and is figuring everything out the hard way. Her friend Shug helps her a lot through life. Shug show celie the insides of her body with a mirror that shows how life is a everybodies bodys are different then others. If i was a pycologist i would i say that i would help her with things she is going threw and the past of her life.

One Love

Celie was very upset because she is in love with an older man but no one wants to help her. She doesnt know what to do with herself because she is so madly in love and she is upset because she cant say that he was her first because of the accident that happened to her when she was little. but she went to God to see what he had to say about it. She
was talking to her friends and they said that doesn't count because you were raped and that was something that was despiteful in your life. I am on page 112. What I find about the novels greatest strength is that she is very consistant with her diary to God and it helps you understand her life better. " Oh, Miss Celie, she cry. It so good to see you again."

"My mamma dead. She die screaming and cussing. she scream at me. She cuss at me. Im big. I cant move fast enough. By time I git back from well, the water be warm, by the time i git my tray my food be cold" (pg,23). I choose this quote because i thought it meant a lot about how she is pregnant and she cant do very much and she has to deal with her mom hating her and her dad abusing her and she has no choice for any of it. She has to take the hard way out and everyone thinks its her fault. She has no one to help her and she has to carry a baby in her stomach that she didn't want and she got it by no choice. She doesn't have very much money and she is trying to survive with this pain inside of her all on her own.

The character that I choose in this book is Alphonso. I choose him because he seemed like a character that many people in the world could relate to. I think he is a guy that is very scared and doesn't know what to do with himself because everything happens so fast that he never has the time to react to it when it does. In this story he has a lot of problems. He rapes his daughter Celie and she turns out to be pregnant. This isn't the first time she is pregnant. She has been pregnant before but she had a bad pregnancy and the baby happens to die. Celie is really scared because she doesn't want her Pa to kill this baby because he is really physical with her and hurts her all the time. She just doesn't him to kill this baby. I think what motivates his behavior is that when he was younger he had such a long time that he grew up that way.

The author of my book is Alice Walker the story is called the color purple.

I predict that there is a color girl that doesn't like the way she's living and tries to change everything but the caucasions don't like her desicision of this so they do bad things to her. But she doesn't bow down to them and takes stand and tries to live a happy life and tries to change the way people think about and do to black women and people. She is a lovable, reliable, black woman that puts up with no crap and takes care of her family.
